Mr. Rakhmanov is a senior investment professional and an entrepreneur with global corporate finance, new investment company setup, and board membership experience across a broad range of industries.
Mr. Rakhmanov is the Founding Director General of Abu Dhabi Uzbek Investment LLC, a USD 1 Billion investment Company formed by the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Mr. Rakhmanov is also the founder of Finmedia, one of the fastest-growing VAS and financial technology providers for telecom operators in Uzbekistan. The company is financed by a leading VC company in the region, Sturgeon Capital.
Graduated from Pace University in NYC Summa Cum Laude with a dual degree- Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Math. After graduating from Pace University in New York, he worked as an investment banker at the UBS investment bank.
He specialized in the industrial sector of the economy, where he took part in all stages of investment banking operations, including securities issuance, mergers and acquisitions, and leveraged buyouts. At UBS, he was part of a team that came in second in the industrial sector on Wall Street.
Before graduating from Pace University, he also worked at Lehman Brothers in New York, where he assisted the managing director and vice president of the investment bank's treasury.
Interests and hobbies include Value Investing, Behavioral Economics, history of the Middle East, and boxing.
