Dr. Mohamed Uvaze, FHEA, holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from Multimedia University, Malaysia, where he was honored with the Best PhD Thesis Award in 2018.
With over 13 years of international academic and research experience, Dr. Uvaze has held teaching and leadership positions across India, Malaysia, Iraq, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. His research expertise lies in computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, medical imaging, and optimization, with a strong emphasis on developing real-world AI-driven solutions.
Dr. Uvaze has authored more than 40 publications in international journals and conferences, contributed to multiple Scopus-indexed book chapters, and holds several international IPRs and patents—including a German patent on vehicular networks and a UK design patent on an AI-based skin cancer detection device.
As a Senior Member of IEEE and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK, he actively contributes to the global academic community as a journal reviewer, advisory board member, and guest editor for prestigious Scopus-indexed journals. Recognized for his innovative teaching practices, he is deeply committed to student mentorship, fostering research culture, and integrating cutting-edge technologies into higher education to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
