Dr. Shirin Noekhah is an Assistant Professor and researcher in the field of computer science, specializing in Machine Learning, Data Mining and data analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Engineering. She has 15 years of teaching experience at the university level in different countries, including Malaysia, Iran, Iraq, and Uzbekistan, where she has designed and delivered courses such as Database, Software Engineering, Programming Languages and Data Structures, Data Mining, and Machine Learning and Deep Learning. She completed her Bachelor of Software Engineering in Iran and received a Master's and PhD in Computer Science from the University Technology Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia, in 2012 and 2019, respectively. She has developed models, algorithms, and applied techniques of machine learning, NLP, and statistics for various domains such as software reliability prediction, text mining, data mining, NLP, opinion spam detection, etc.

During her study, she involved several research groups to make networks and research collaborations among different universities (universities from Singapore, South Korea, India, Malaysia, and Iran). She participated in various research projects as a researcher. Many of these projects were for industrial projects and student-based research. Moreover, she has obtained more than 87,000 Ringgit in competitive research funding. Regarding publication, she has published several papers in academic journals (ISI Indexed) and conferences in the field of computer science. She has also been serving as a member of the reviewer of international journals and the program committees of local and international conferences and workshops.

Beyond teaching, Shirin has contributed tocurriculum development and the modernization of computer science courses to meet the needs of today’s learners. She is also engaged in academic research and professional development in the fields of AI applications, machine learning, and multimodal data analysis, aiming to connect academic knowledge with practical innovations.
